Bonaventure Soh
Bejeng Ndikung
Dr. Bonaventure Soh Bejeng Ndikung (born in 1977 in Yaoundé, Cameroon), is an independent curator, author and biotechnologist. He is founder and artistic director of SAVVY Contemporary in Berlin and the artistic director of sonsbeek20–24, a quadrennial contemporary art exhibition in Arnhem, the Netherlands. Recent publications include In a While or Two We Will Find the Tone: Essays and Proposals, Curatorial Concepts and Critiques (Archive Books, 2020), and Those Who Are Dead Are Not Ever Gone (Archive Books, 2018). His writings have been published in Frieze, Artforum, Mousse Magazine, South As A State of Mind and Art Review. His essays have been included in catalogues for Bamako Encounters – African Biennale of Photography, documenta 14, the Artes Mundi Prize, Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno – CAAM, Akbank Sanat Istanbul, the Riga International Biennial, Maxxi Museo nazionale delle arti del XXI secolo Rome, Museum Tinguely, Fondation Louis Vuitton Paris and the Contemporary Art Biennial Sesc_Videobrasil. Ndikung was the curator-at-large for Adam Szymczyk’s Documenta 14 in Athens and Kassel in 2017 and is currently a professor in the Spatial Strategies MA program at the Weissensee Academy of Art in Berlin.
